The Former Residence of Chiang Kai-shek includes buildings such as the Yutai Salt Shop, Fenggao House, the Small Western-style House, Leting (formerly known as Wenchang Pavilion), Miaogao Terrace, and Ci'an. The corridors, walls, and pillars of Fenggao House are covered with carvings and paintings inspired by 'Investiture of the Gods', 'Romance of the Three Kingdoms', 'The Story of Yue Fei', and the legend of the Eight Immortals crossing the sea. The figures and artistic conceptions are vivid, reflecting the owner's wish for good fortune while demonstrating the superb craftsmanship of Chinese folk artisans.

Xuedou Mountain is one of the five famous Buddhist mountains in China and the dojo of Maitreya Buddha.
Xufuyan Waterfall features steep cliffs and precipices, standing ten thousand fathoms high. It is said that an immortal once rode a wild duck here to ascend to heaven, hence the name. Xufuyan is covered with lush vegetation, with clusters of plants casting shadows. A giant rock protrudes from the top, looming as if to pounce on people, and from a distance, it looks like a giant ape leaning against the sky, so it is called 'Monkey Rock'. The waterfall cascades from the deep forest, resembling the Milky Way pouring down. The Song Dynasty poet Wang Shiling wrote: 'The sheer cliffs pierce the sky level with the clouds, the cold waterfall flies horizontally for ten thousand years. Walking with a staff, I pass the dangers of the human world, heading alone towards the peaks of a thousand mountains.'
Legend has it that the high monk Zen Master Zhihe of Xuedou Temple in the Song Dynasty once practiced here. He would come to Miaogao Terrace every day to lecture on Buddhist scriptures while sitting on the meditation stone. His teachings were so captivating that even the two tigers beneath the terrace would listen intently; whenever the Zen Master struck his wooden fish, the tigers would leap from their cave to the terrace to listen. Over time, they became inseparable from the Zen Master, sharing a deep bond. One day, Zen Master Zhihe passed away while sitting on the meditation stone. The two tigers lay beside his remains, guarding him day and night until he was laid to rest, after which they also died.
