  • The BritRail Spirit of Scotland Pass is valid for non-reserved seats 
  • Reservations must be made for high-speed trains, scenic trains, and sleeper trains, and will incur additional fees 
  • Travellers are recommended to reserve seats in advance during peak times, national holidays, long-haul routes, or routes with infrequent departures

  • Unlimited travel across the National Rail network of Scotland
  • Valid on all scheduled daytime passenger trains for journeys wholly within Scotland, including Avanti West Coast trains to/from Carlisle and LNER trains to/from Berwick-upon Tweed. (BritRail Spirit of Scotland Passes cannot be used to travel before 09:15 Mondays to Fridays, except between:
    - Glasgow Queen Street - Oban/Fort William/Mallaig
    - Glasgow Central - Stranraer
    - ​Inverness - Kyle/Wick/Thurso
    - Direct services from Lockerbie to Carlisle, Carstairs, Motherwell or Glasgow Central
  • Valid on the following coach services on selected routes:
    - Argyll
    - Skye
    - the Borders and Northern Highlands
    - Scottish Citylink
    - Stagecoach
    - West Coast Motors
    Please check with the operators before you intend to travel.
  • Not valid in England or Wales
  • Not valid on Caledonian Sleeper or Night Riviera sleeper services

  • The name specified on the pass must be identical to the name specified on the passport
  • Service Range: Covers north of Carlisle and Berwick-upon-Tweed
  • Redemption Period: 11 months after purchase, please select your redemption date when booking
  • Validity Period: Depends on the chosen package
  • The Pass is for Ordinary class only, without the option to upgrade to First class
  • BritRail M-Passes are pre-validated at time of purchase. They are validated once you have chosen your start date and received the barcode.
  • Activation is made through the link sent by email.The activation date is the date you will be using the pass on the train for the first time.
  • BritRail Spirit of Scotland Passes are valid from 00:00 hrs to 23:59 hrs (Midnight to Midnight) on a chosen day of travel. Not valid on trains between Monday and Friday before 9:15 am. 
  • BritRail England Passes are valid for non-reserved seats
  • Industrial action may result in severe disruptions to specific parts of the British rail network on certain dates. Please check the first and last train times on our website, as there will be limited services available. Keep in mind that these dates are subject to change or cancellation, so it's advisable to verify before reserving seats or tickets. Additionally, be aware of potential holiday closures and planned engineering closures by checking in advance on the website of the Network Rail

  • Your BritRail Pass gives you unlimited rides on covered rail networks over the validity period

  • In case of flight/train delays or strikes, please contact our customer service before your redemption date for rescheduling. Your original booking will be canceled, and you will have the option to purchase a new order. Please be aware that a small fee and service charge will be deducted from your refund

  • Lost and stolen passes will not be refunded

  • The pass must be redeemed within 11 months after purchase

  • Only invalid and completely unused train passes can be refunded. Refunds must be processed within 11 months from the date of invoicing

  • When processing a refund, the payment will be deducted from the specified fines and handling fees (Fine: typically GBP10 as indicated on your voucher, service charge: NTD400). Please ensure you have all tickets, including the pass and reservation card, ready for the supplier to complete the necessary procedures. If a ticket is lost, it cannot be processed

  • The supplier cannot be held responsible for losses incurred due to strikes, shuttle delays, connection interruptions, or luggage theft or loss. In such emergencies, you can follow the rules for changing or refunding tickets
