This was a truly wonderful tour, so I'd like to leave a review. Good points: • The guide spoke fluent Japanese, making communication easy. • The car ride to the ruins was comfortable. • The guide's explanations of the ruins were accurate. • Besides explaining the ruins, they also talked about recent events in Vietnam, which was very informative. • The guide recommended good restaurants and massage parlors frequented by locals. • The lunch included in the tour was delicious, and the portion size was quite generous as it was a set course. Bad points: • None in particular.
Since there were only three of us, we went by private car. I had mistakenly assumed a small white bus-like vehicle would come, so I'm sorry for ignoring the driver who honked his horn several times. Grab is usually expensive for that distance, and it's hard to find a suitable tour if you're staying in Hoi An (obviously, tours only depart from Da Nang), so when I found this, it was a blast! There was no unnecessary chatter like on a tour, and the other passengers were perfect, thank you (I might have talked to myself a lot, sorry). It was really great that they offered a simple transfer service cheaper than Grab! And the ruins? Well, it was so hot I couldn't really tell what was what. It's a smaller version of the ruins I've seen in Cambodia, but I think it's good because it's easy to get around and simple. The beautiful Hoi An women's dance was enchanting. I'm glad I went.
