We were fortunate to have a clear, cloudless day 🌞 The glacier scenery was magnificent, and the guide was professional and friendly, making it a truly worthwhile experience.
At first, it was scary, especially the moment of jumping, but it only lasted about five seconds, and the instructor would push you to jump, so there wasn't much to resist. After that, it was just endless enjoyment of the magnificent scenery—super satisfying! A must-do on my bucket list at least once in a lifetime.
The boat was very stable and didn't cause seasickness. There were two decks to choose from; it's recommended to arrive early to queue for seats on the upper deck. The farm itself was beautiful, and the buffet was quite good. After lunch, watching the sheep shearing show was perfect. It was a very relaxing trip.
This trip involved layovers in Hong Kong and Dubai, and the internet connection at the airports was consistently smooth. Upon arrival in Mauritius, before applying for a local eSIM, I was able to use LINE smoothly with this eSIM. It was also fortunate that I had purchased this eSIM beforehand, as my return flight was canceled due to the US-Israeli airstrikes on Iran, forcing me to reroute via Malaysia and Hong Kong back to Taiwan. This eSIM proved useful at the Malaysian airport. Although I only used this eSIM at airports in these few countries, the internet connection was consistently smooth when watching YouTube, Netflix, and using LINE (text messages and calls), with no issues with intermittent call quality.
Taking the boat in the morning means fewer people, and you absolutely must join the farm tour – it's so cute!
