Gyeongnam

I highly recommend this Geoje Island trip! A special shout-out to our guide and driver, Joseph Lee! He drove smoothly, safely, and was incredibly friendly, taking meticulous care of us throughout the entire journey. Due to strong winds, we couldn't take the boat to the outer islands or the cable car, but Joseph quickly adjusted the itinerary, taking us to the Botanical Garden and the POW Park, two of Geoje's nine scenic spots, which we absolutely loved. On the way back, he even drove us to the exit closest to our hotel – so thoughtful! Last week, we also joined a day trip to Gyeongju with the same company and found it to be excellent value for money. This Geoje Island trip was equally enjoyable, and it makes us even more excited to come back to Korea! Thank you again, Joseph Lee, for your company and care throughout the day – highly recommended!

Thank you to our tour guide, Ms. Xu Jinting, for her thoughtful and attentive companionship, and to our driver for his safe and comfortable driving. The distances between the attractions weren't far, making travel very comfortable. The attractions in Miryang aren't the kind that are overwhelmingly large and noisy. They stand quietly, waiting for us to join them. My favorite part was at Yeongnam-ro and Pyochung-sa Temple, where the tour guide let us take off our shoes to experience them. At Yeongnam-ro, enjoying the breeze and beautiful views, plus the fact that there was an event on the other side of the river that day, created a wonderful sense of connection between the old and the new. At Pyochung-sa Temple, the clear sound of the bells and the wooden fish drums from inside the temple made me even more relaxed. The second half of the trip, with its apple makgeolli and pounded rice cakes, was so much fun! The apple makgeolli was icy and sweet, and the freshly pounded hot rice cakes with soybean powder were incredibly delicious. Experiencing these things in a beautiful hanok (traditional Korean house) was amazing! And the tables inside the hanok even had cute origami hanbok. The owner decorated the entire space beautifully, and sitting in the traditional Korean house gazing at the courtyard was a truly pleasant experience. Overall, the experience was fantastic. Although the product page was rather simple, the actual experience far exceeded what was described. I look forward to experiencing Miryang in all four seasons someday.
