Ganghwa Island

To get to Ganghwa Island from Seoul, take a bus from Sinchon Bus Terminal. The terminal is accessible via Exit 7 of Sinchon Station on Seoul Subway Line 2. The bus journey to Ganghwa Town typically takes about an hour and 10 minutes. Once you arrive at Ganghwa Terminal, you can catch local buses to various destinations across the island.

Ganghwa Island has a rich and significant history. It was the site of several historical conflicts and expeditions, including the French expedition to Korea in 1866 and the United States expedition to Korea in 1871. The island was also involved in the Battle of Ganghwa and the 1875 Ganghwa Island incident with Japan. In 1876, Korea was compelled to sign the Treaty of Ganghwa, which was named after the island.
