Higashiyama Zoo itself is very large, and a day pass for only 500 yen is excellent value. Including the tower, the pass is only a little over 600 yen, which is also incredibly good value; sometimes just climbing the tower alone costs more than that. The KKDAY pass is also very convenient; you can buy it on the day of purchase without exchanging it, and simply scan the code at the entrance to enter – very convenient indeed.
