Amazing tour covering Arashiyama Bamboo Forest, Nara Park, and Fushimi Inari Shrine. Although it was raining, the scenery was still stunning, from the peaceful bamboo groves to the friendly deer, a bit aggressive to snacks for some in Nara and the breathtaking Thousand Torii Gates. The itinerary was well paced and never felt rushed. Special thanks to our guide Eric, who was knowledgeable, friendly, and very attentive. His insights into Japanese culture and history made the experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Kyoto and Nara!
This tour allows you to visit four of Kyoto's most iconic scenic spots in one day by bus, saving a lot of travel time. You can also have a quick look around each spot. Tour guide Liu Jun will give a brief introduction to the features of each spot and lead you there. The whole trip is very relaxing, allowing you to see four of Kyoto's most famous attractions in a limited amount of time.
Every time I come to Japan, I choose to join a tour arranged by KKday. Not only are there many options, but the prices are also very affordable. During the tour, the tour guide also provides detailed explanations of the highlights and precautions in each location. I will definitely join a tour again next time I have the chance.
I highly recommend this day trip. You don't need to worry about transportation, and you can easily visit Kiyomizu-dera Temple, Fushimi Inari Shrine, Nara Park, and Todai-ji Temple in Kyoto. Todai-ji is truly magnificent and definitely worth buying a ticket to go inside. Feeding the deer in Nara is a lot of fun, and our tour leader, Hugo, was very attentive to the group and provided excellent itinerary explanations. Kiyomizu-dera was very crowded and lively, but luckily the weather was fantastic – blue skies and white clouds made for beautiful photos. We were also happy to leave Fushimi Inari Shrine, where it even snowed for a while.
I received an email the day before the trip, which was very detailed, including the meeting point, time, tour leader's name, and itinerary, even with pictures to help us find the meeting point quickly. The itinerary was very well arranged, with ample time for rest and sightseeing. My deepest gratitude goes to our two tour leaders, Ruihong and Yuki, who clearly explained the meeting time and location before arriving at each attraction, ensuring everyone was on time for the group and departure. They also provided suggested itineraries, allowing us to achieve the most efficient sightseeing in the shortest amount of time. These two tour leaders were truly thoughtful and attentive; they were the biggest plus of the entire trip!
Uji is a tranquil little town. We stopped at a shop and shared a matcha-flavored snack while gazing at the Uji River, spending almost an hour and a half there. Inari Shrine was very lively, with snacks available everywhere. We brought our own food to extend our sightseeing time, spending two hours there. Katsuo-ji Temple has small Daruma dolls scattered throughout the mountain, making it a very interesting experience; we also spent two hours there. The entrance fee is worthwhile – collecting all six stamps and getting a postcard is definitely worth it! Our guide, Lai, was very dedicated; I really enjoyed her professional explanations and thoughtful reminders throughout the trip 👍👍👍. She spoke gently, always had a smile on her face, and answered all our questions. Today was truly a fulfilling and enriching day.
Thank you to our tour guide and driver for making our day wonderful. We enjoyed visiting the amazing sights of Kyoto and Nara. Even though it was winter, the matcha was still fragrant and delicious!
