The tour was on December 28th, Christmas Day. It was very crowded, so be sure to pay close attention to the meeting times for the rest of the itinerary. Passengers were picked up early from the hotel, about four groups in total, in a small, exclusive group on a private minibus. The guide spoke Mandarin and shared stories about Sydney along the way. We started at the wildlife park; it seemed like all the kangaroos were well-fed, which was a bit of a shame. We didn't get to eat my feed! Later, we queued to take photos with the koalas – their furry butts were so cute to touch! However, the queue was quite long, and we didn't get to explore the park properly. My advice is to only queue if you really want to take photos with the koalas. The chocolate at the entrance was delicious, though the coffee leaked out… The next stop was the platform to see the Three Sisters and the Blue Mountains. The guide was great and adjusted the itinerary according to the situation. The yellow cable car was relatively empty at first, but the red cable car was super fun! The burgers were also delicious, but perhaps because it was a holiday, the blue cable car was very crowded. Afterwards, we went to the town; the ice cream was delicious! Having someone with you along the way makes things much more comfortable. The 1-1.5 hour bus ride is perfect for a nap, and the free time at each attraction is also very relaxing. There are restrooms (with toilet paper) at every stop. I highly recommend this itinerary; it's a perfect day trip, getting you back to Chinatown around 5-6 PM, and you can even grab a bite to eat.
Enjoy three different cable cars to view the Blue Mountains. It's worth a visit if you love natural scenery, and the first cable car is the most unique.
I'm not Korean, but I had a great time on this tour. Our guide, Alex, communicated with me in English throughout. I would definitely try a Korean-speaking tour next time. The other members were also very understanding and helpful. Overall, it was fantastic! 😎
