A completely new concept for discovering Weimar – flexible, interactive and in a special way. Experience Weimar with "contemporary witnesses" from different centuries – on "The Weimar Tour," let the city's most famous sons and daughters address you by name, entertain you, and share their anecdotes (audio recordings) about their lives and the city's history. Learn what the famous poets and thinkers were really like and how they lived; they themselves will tell you (short audio clips). Explore the city at your own pace on this compact tour. Listen to Goethe, Schiller, Bach, and many other historical greats. Much more exciting than any guidebook and conventional city tours. Few numbers and dry lectures, but plenty of surprising rumors and fascinating background information about the most important landmarks. The tour was developed together with experienced city guides and combines in-depth knowledge with interactive entertainment through simple quiz questions. Sometimes you have to guess, sometimes your short-term memory is put to the test. Over a distance of about 3 kilometers, we take you to 12 important places in the historic center and even take you on an exciting journey through time to the Middle Ages. Suddenly you are right in the middle of it, in the deepest Middle Ages – listen to a story "about you back then in Weimar." If you like, you can collect points along the way, complete small photo assignments (unique keepsakes), and playfully solve little riddles – without any time pressure. Whether alone, as a couple, or as a small team – the tour can be booked daily. On Saturdays and selected Sundays, you can combine the tour with a delicious dinner in the cozy and idyllic "Gaststätte am Horn" in the Ilmpark. Good Thuringian cuisine and more.
