Product Info

Explore the Tempisque River and discover the remarkable biodiversity of Palo Verde National Park, one of the most important wetlands in Central America.

Accompanied by a certified naturalist guide, you'll navigate through this unique ecosystem while observing wildlife in its natural habitat. Depending on the season, you may encounter American crocodiles, monkeys, iguanas, bats and a wide variety of resident and migratory bird species. Every tour is different, making each visit a unique wildlife experience.

For more than 30 years, Palo Verde Boat Tours® has been a family-owned company dedicated to sharing the natural and cultural heritage of Guanacaste through responsible rural tourism.

After the river safari, enjoy a traditional Costa Rican lunch prepared with fresh local ingredients. You'll also have the opportunity to watch a pottery demonstration by a local artisan, one of Guanacaste's oldest traditions.

Your visit directly supports local families, sustainable agriculture and community-based tourism. Many of the ingredients served are produced on our own farm or sourced from nearby producers, helping preserve both the local economy and the environment.

Whether you're interested in wildlife, birdwatching, photography or simply experiencing an authentic side of Costa Rica, this tour offers a memorable combination of nature, culture and local hospitality.
