Know Before You Go: Hot air balloons in Lithuania usually fly from April to October. In summer, hot air balloons fly in the mornings (5:00-9:00) and in the evenings (18:00-21:00). In autumn, morning flights start a little later (8:00), evening flights - earlier (16:00)
Know Before You Go: Hot air balloon flights are completely dependent on meteorological conditions: cloudiness, precipitation, visibility, wind speed, etc. Usually, the meteorological forecast is provided 3 days before the flight, but sometimes the forecast is inaccurate or incomplete. Therefore, for safety reasons, the flight may be canceled even at the balloon launch site.
Know Before You Go: The average duration of a hot air balloon flight is 1 hour, but the entire process (preparation for the flight, briefing, flight, packing the balloon after the flight, certificate presentation ceremony and return) takes 3-4 hours.
Know Before You Go: Typically, 6-16 people fly in one hot air balloon. If you plan to fly without other people, discuss this with the flight organizers in advance.
