Product Info

Begin your tour with a comfortable, air-conditioned pickup. Head to Nelson’s Dockyard, a living museum where history is still active. Walk past the Copper and Lumber Store Hotel, the Admiral’s Inn, and see master shipwrights at work. Learn about the life of Admiral Horatio Nelson and the enslaved people whose labor built these massive stone structures.

Next, ascend to Shirley Heights. Standing at approximately 490 feet above sea level, take in the most photographed view in the Caribbean. Your guide will point out the strategic topography of English Harbour and Falmouth Harbour.

Continue to the Blockhouse ruins, a site that offers a more rugged and secluded atmosphere than the main dockyard. Explore the remains of the officer's barracks and the powder magazine while looking out over the sheer cliffs of the Atlantic side of the island.

Conclude your tour with a drive through the lush southern countryside, passing through the village of Liberta, one of the first free villages established after the emancipation of enslaved people in Antigua.
