Your English-speaking driver or tour guide, depending on your booking, will pick you up from your Beijing hotel. If you choose the Basic English-Speaking Driver option, no tour guide is included. Pickup time is flexible, but we recommend leaving earlier on holidays or weekends to avoid heavy traffic and crowds at the Great Wall.
The Mutianyu Great Wall is located in Mutianyu Village, Bohai Town, Huairou District, Beijing, China. It is about 70 kilometers away from downtown Beijing and takes about 1.5 hours.
In the morning, we arrived at the most beautiful section of the Great Wall - the Mutianyu Great Wall. Compared with the Badaling Great Wall, there are relatively fewer tourists here, allowing you to fully enjoy the grandeur and tranquility of the Great Wall. Wandering among the ancient bricks and stones, touching the traces of time, listening to the tour guide tell the historical stories of the Great Wall, one can feel the wisdom and tenacity of the ancients (if you choose the English-speaking tour guide option). You can choose to take the cable car up and down, or the ropeway up and the slide down. Both methods can easily reach the heights and offer a panoramic view of the magnificent scenery of the Great Wall.
After visiting the Great Wall, you can rest or get something to eat or drink at nearby restaurants. We will then transfer you to the Summer Palace, which takes about 1.5 to 2 hours.
The Summer Palace is located in the northwest suburbs of Beijing, covering an area of approximately 290 hectares. It is the largest and best-preserved imperial garden in China and is known as the "Museum of Imperial Gardens". This place was once a summer resort for emperors and empresses of the Qing Dynasty, carrying rich historical and cultural connotations.
The Summer Palace is based on the Longevity Mountain and Kunming Lake. The lake and mountain scenery complement each other. There are also many famous scenic spots in the garden, such as the Long Corridor, the Tower of Buddhist Incense, the Seventeen-Arch Bridge and the stone boat. It ingeniously integrates artificial landscapes with natural mountains and the vast lake surface, forming a natural landscape painting.
Here, you can not only enjoy the picturesque garden scenery, but also experience the grandeur and profound cultural heritage of ancient Chinese imperial gardens.
After you visit the Summer Palace, you will be taken back to your hotel
