Product Info

Hello, my name is LEE Hee won, and I am a tour guide.
I have worked and studied as a travel guide for the past 15 years, with experience guiding tours in Greece, Spain, and Italy.
I am currently working as a tour guide in my hometown, Andong, where I share Korea’s traditional culture and warm hospitality.
Thank you very sincerely for visiting Korea, and I warmly invite all travelers to Korea to make sure to visit Andong at least once.

Discover Andong on a day trip. Visit Hahoe Folk Village, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Woryeonggyo Bridge, and Dosan Seowon, and enjoy views of Andong Lake from Andong Dam.

Begin your journey at Andong Dam, completed in 1976 as one of Korea’s largest multipurpose dams. It regulates the flow of the Nakdong River while creating a vast, calm lake surrounded by forested hills. The dam area includes scenic viewpoints and a small museum that tells the story of how the reservoir changed local life.

Dosan Seowon is a UNESCO-listed Confucian academy where academic wisdom meets natural beauty. Its humble architecture reflects scholar Yi Hwang’s pursuit of discipline. The buildings blend seamlessly with the Nakdong River and hills, embodying a nature-friendly philosophy of harmony and profound respect.

Standing at the observatory, enjoy sweeping views of Andong Lake — a symbol of human effort blending harmoniously with nature. On misty mornings, the lake’s surface looks like a traditional ink painting, offering the perfect start to a tranquil day.

Next, head to Hahoe Folk Village, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that has preserved traditional Korean culture for over 600 years. Nestled in a graceful curve of the Nakdong River, Hahoe is home to the Ryu clan of Pungsan and showcases the beauty of Joseon-era Confucian society.

Stroll through narrow lanes lined with elegant tile-roofed houses and humble thatched cottages. For a breathtaking panorama, climb to Buyongdae Cliff and gaze down at the village embraced by river and mountains — a view that has inspired poets for centuries.

Woryeonggyo Bridge is one of Korea’s longest wooden footbridges. Stretching gracefully across the Nakdong River, it connects the riverside park to the edge of Andong city. Its name means “the bridge of the moon’s reflection”.

When the bridge lights up at night and the moon reflects on the water, the scene is ethereal — a symbol of eternal devotion. It’s a favorite spot for couples, photographers, and anyone seeking a quiet moment of beauty. (winter season only)

End your journey at Dosan Seowon, another UNESCO site and one of Korea’s most significant Confucian academies.

The layout, nestled amid pine forests and overlooking the river, embodies the Confucian ideals of balance, respect, and moral discipline. Explore lecture halls, libraries, and pavilions, while reflecting on Toegye’s legacy as a philosopher who shaped Korean ethics and thought. The peaceful setting encourages introspection — a fitting conclusion to a day in Andong.
