What is Nikaibayashi?
This is the Ohayashi practice held on the second floor of townhouses in each Hikiyama town, starting from the night the Otsu Festival's lottery ceremony takes place. From evening until night, the sounds of gongs, drums, and flutes echo through the town from the townhouse windows. This practice venue is the inner side of the festival, usually off-limits to those not involved. On this tour, you will have the special opportunity to observe this practice scene.
