Know Before You Go: Please leave expensive jewelry, including necklaces and watches, in the hotel or on the ship before venturing out to explore Buenos Aires. As in most major cities, the best preparation is to dress in a way that doesn't call attention to the fact that you're from out of town. If you take a wallet, reduce the contents to an identity card, the one or two credit or debit cards you might use, and small amounts of dollars or euros, and be sure your wallet is in a snug front pocket. Purses should carry the absolute minimum and should be carried in front. I don't encourage people to change euros or U.S. dollars into the local currency (pesos) before arriving. Visa and MasterCard are commonly accepted in most retail establishments across the city.
Know Before You Go: Please be sure to contact me before we meet so that I can give you any last advice on how to dress for the weather.
