Osaka Ranma Experience at Takahashi Shoten
Experience Osaka Ranma, a traditional craft certified by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry. 1. Choose your preferred pattern from 5 designs: bamboo, horse, dolphin, Mount Fuji, and goldfish. 2. Mr. Takahashi will explain the precautions, work procedures, and how to use the carving knives. 3. The materials are approximately 20 cm wide and 10-15 cm high, with a pencil sketch already drawn on them. You will carve along the pencil lines using the carving knives. 4. We will provide support if you find any parts difficult. 5. The work will be completed in about 2 hours.
Historical Walk in Kawachi-Matsubara
Starting from in front of Kawachi-Matsubara Station, take a leisurely 2-hour 30-minute tour of historic sites and landmarks with a Matsubara storyteller. Visit Shibagaki Shrine, which enshrines Emperor Hanzei, known as the god of teeth, Aho Shrine, famous for its floral ceiling paintings, and the Kawachi Otsukayama Kofun, the 5th largest burial mound in Japan, before returning to the front of Kawachi-Matsubara Station to conclude the tour.
