Coral colonies spread out just centimeters below the water's surface, allowing you to enjoy the world of coral from both land and water. If you prefer, we can guide you through shore observation only without snorkeling.

We will take you to a spot where you can observe living coral covering the entire seabed. While coral has decreased significantly along the Kume Island coast due to frequent bleaching in recent years, this spot is a precious area where the environment remains favorable for coral growth due to its topography.
Observe coral from an extremely close distance
Because we observe coral that has emerged or is in shallow water within the colonies covering the ground, the distance to the coral is incredibly close!! You can observe them at close range or take close-up photos. We hope you enjoy the underwater world of coral to your heart's content.

What You Can Expect

The adventure starts with a walk on the tidal flat. Walk from the meeting point across the sandy tidal flat toward the offshore coral reef.
Explore the coral reef. Walk through the reef and find more developed coral colonies.
Land-based observation of the coral forest. Once you reach the observation spot in the coral forest, start by observing from land. You can observe the coral forest, which has grown right up to the water's surface, from a very close distance.
Next is underwater observation. Enter the water from the shallows where a coral forest spreads out before your eyes. Once you dip your face in, a world of coral unfolds.
Underwater observation via snorkeling. You can observe an underwater world packed with coral from as shallow as 50cm deep. The sight of light shining into the shallow sea and the coral is beautiful.
Exploration snorkeling through the coral reef maze. Observe coral and tropical fish while navigating through the depressions and grooves of the reef.
Observe from both the sea and land. Enjoy it in your preferred style, whether by swimming in the deeper parts at the edge of the reef or standing in the shallows to observe.

・Meeting Time: Held during low tide. Details will be provided after booking. ・Meeting Point: 'Tip of Ou Island' [Directions] Cross the bridge to Ou Island -> Go straight until you reach the T-junction -> Turn right at the T-junction -> The meeting point is at the end of the road. 10 minutes by car or 20 minutes by bicycle from Eef Beach.
