The South Island is one of the two main islands that make up New Zealand. Its Maori name is 'Te Waipounamu', which means 'the waters of greenstone'. Major cities include Christchurch and Dunedin. Christchurch, the largest city on the South Island, is full of British charm and is known as the 'Garden City', while the second-largest city, Dunedin, is filled with Scottish flair.

Due to its high latitude and mountainous terrain, the South Island features many natural glacial landscapes. Its clean, unpolluted natural environment makes New Zealand's scenery truly refreshing and captivating.

Reminders

  • A minimum of 10 traveler(s) are required for the tour to depart. If the number of participants does not reach the minimum requirement, the tour will be canceled. An email regarding tour cancellation will be sent 10 day(s) before the departure date

  • Children under the age of seven are recommended to ride in a safety seat, so it is recommended that you bring your own safety seat. If you bring a baby stroller, please also make a note when booking (additional charges may be required for placing a baby stroller).

  • If the child is sitting in an ordinary seat, the caregiver is required to assist the child to fasten the seat belt, and the accident risk shall be borne by oneself.

  • The actual gathering time must be based on the tour guide's notification one day before departure, and please confirm that your mobile phone number is correct. If you do not receive any notification, please make an emergency call to confirm the collection time. The phone number will send a voucher notification after the order is successful.

  • This itinerary needs manual confirmation, please book the ticket after receiving our itinerary confirmation letter. It takes at least 2 working days to reply to the order result after ordering.

  • If there are accompanying passengers, it is recommended to place an order together. If you place an order separately, please be sure to note the order numbers of all accompanying passengers in the order. If not informed in advance, passengers may be arranged in different cars or even different groups on the day of the itinerary, please pay attention before booking.

Cancellation Policy

  • For cancellations made at least 31 day(s) prior to selected date, a cancellation fee of 10% will apply
  • Cancellation is not allowed between 0–30 days from the selected date. Orders cannot be canceled or modified, and refunds will not be granted.
NOTE
  • Due to time zone differences, the confirmed cancellation date is based on the supplier’s local time. Please allow 2–5 business days to process your cancellation request, after which the cancellation fee will be charged according to the product’s cancellation policy. Once your refund request is confirmed, KKday will initiate the refund to your original payment method within 15 days. The actual refund timing depends on your card-issuing bank’s policy.
