Product Info

Kimimachizaka is known as a 'Lovers' Sanctuary' due to its history of Emperor Meiji receiving a love letter from the Empress here.
Within the park, you will find the Love Letter Shrine and a love letter mailbox, where you can make a wish with a heart-shaped ema (votive tablet) or mail a postcard with a heart-shaped postmark.
With a history of prosperity in the lumber industry as the 'Wood Capital of the Orient,' you can enjoy beautiful scenery while experiencing the traditional craftsmanship of 'Kumiko.'
Akita cedar, one of Japan's three most beautiful woods, is famous for its stunning grain, making your handmade Kumiko a perfect souvenir.
Finally, take your time to enjoy Hiyama tea, known as the northernmost tea in Japan.

  • For cancellations made 1 to 3 days prior to selected date, a cancellation fee of 50% will apply
  • Cancellation is not allowed between 0–0 days from the selected date. Orders cannot be canceled or modified, and refunds will not be granted.
