Megaport Festival, founded in 2006, was established in Kaohsiung by the organizing team behind Taipei's Formoz Festival (1995–2013). These two major music festival brands, one in the north and one in the south, were the pioneers of Taiwan's now-thriving music festival market. Entering its 17th edition in 2026, Megaport Festival is held every March and is currently Taiwan's most iconic large-scale outdoor music festival.

Megaport is located by the Kaohsiung Port, where the unique harbor landscape and cultural atmosphere often evoke bittersweet memories of life. Because of this, Megaport always invites renowned artists and industry veterans with rich life experiences to perform, and collaborates with new-generation bands or artists to create a chemical reaction between generations. These performances often become the most talked-about classic moments of the year, including Ho Yi-hang from 'Golden Nightclub', Anthony Wong (Big Fei) from 'Young and Dangerous', Japanese idol Noriko Sakai who remains in people's youthful memories, as well as Shen Wen-cheng who sang 'Who Knows My Heart' and three-time Golden Award winner Tsai Chen-nan who starred in 'A Boy Named Flora A'. In addition, Wu Bai, who sang 'The Boys from Fengkuei', and Jeannie Hsieh, who later became the 'Big Sister', have all been headliners on the Megaport stage.

Under the themes of 'Life' and 'Music' at Megaport, whether through various personality-filled indie music, raw and powerful rock or hip-hop, or soft and catchy pop styles, the audience finds resonance for their joys, sorrows, and the ebbs and flows of life within this world of music. The lineup of bands over the years has brought together strong domestic and international artists. Domestic artists include Sorry Youth, Nine One One, No Party For Cao Dong, Fire EX., Leo Wang, Sunset Rollercoaster, Chthonic, Meuko! Meuko!, Flesh Juicer, Accusefive, Vivian Hsu, Crowd Lu, Angelica Lee, Sandee Chan, 9m88, Enno Cheng, and more. International artists include: Yura Yura Teikoku, Queen Bee, 10-FEET, envy, coldrain, SiM, Ali, Balming Tiger, Fear, and Loathing in Las Vegas, SE SO NEON, Crystal Lake, and more. 

With over a hundred performing artists every year, paired with unexpected special guests for featuring performances, fans are always pleasantly surprised, creating a unique flavor of memories in the southern harbor city.

Over more than a decade, Megaport has accompanied many audience members from high school and college to marriage and parenthood, walking the path of life together with them and bringing unforgettable life memories. It has not only created a music scene in Kaohsiung that is famous throughout Taiwan but has also become a 'Music Festival of Life' that has been cultivated for over a decade.

• Due to traffic control in the area around the Pier-2 Art Center during the Megaport Festival, the actual drop-off location will be based on the confirmation voucher.

• 【2026 Megaport Festival X Cathay United Bank】 Tickets are strictly real-name verified for wristband redemption upon entry. During the KKday purchase process, you must enter the real name of each ticket holder/passenger (the ticket holder is the same as the passenger).
• The purchaser must be one of the ticket holders/passengers; please verify that the information provided is correct.
• Each KKday member account can purchase a maximum of four sets of tickets.
• Once the purchase is confirmed, no changes to the ticket holder/passenger name will be allowed. Please ensure your information is filled in accurately.
• Each Boat & Music package includes one two-day event wristband and one 'Life Towel'. These can be redeemed immediately on the shuttle bus after identity verification.
• Identity verification is required when boarding and redeeming the wristband and 'Life Towel'. Please have your original ID card, health insurance card, or driver's license ready. For foreigners, please have your original passport ready for on-site verification. If the name of the ticket holder/passenger does not match the person, the organizer reserves the right to refuse boarding and redemption of the wristband and 'Life Towel', and will reject any refund or exchange requests.
• If you need to change the ticket holder/passenger name, please process a refund within the refund period and purchase again. However, the system will automatically release the tickets after a refund, so there is no guarantee that you will be able to purchase them again.
