After purchasing tickets through KKDay, you need to exchange them for physical Kenting Express round-trip tickets at the Zuoying High Speed ​​Rail Station. Seats are not assigned for the outbound journey, but for the return journey, you can only assign seats at Kenting Xiaowan (the terminal station). Kenting Streetcar Ride Tickets are also convenient and easy to use. The driver will write the date on the ticket upon first use, and you can ride an unlimited number of times within the specified period. However, be aware that services are relatively infrequent.

This was my second time purchasing tickets, and I'm getting more and more comfortable with it. The ticket window staff at Fengshan Station were incredibly patient in helping us collect our tickets. When I booked my seats on the Taiwan Railways app, I also ordered lunch boxes and applied for double points on the Hualien-Taitung Line, neither of which could be used with the Taiwan Pass, preventing me from collecting my tickets. The ticketing staff were very patient in helping us correct these changes, allowing us to collect our tickets smoothly. This three-day trip, almost a complete circle around the island, was really saved on money with the Taiwan Pass.

A 3-day unlimited ride pass for just under 10,000 yen per person is a great deal. This time, we only used it for two days across three sections: Taipei to Taichung, Taichung to Tainan, and Tainan to Taipei, but even that was cheaper than the regular price. It would be even more economical if you rode it extensively for three days. What's more, the purchase method is simple: you buy it online and receive a voucher. This time, after arriving at Taipei Station from Taoyuan Airport via the MRT, we went straight to the high-speed rail counter, received our 3-day pass from the voucher, and booked our tickets to Taichung Station for the next morning. After sightseeing in Taichung the next day, we purchased tickets to Tainan at Taichung Station, and upon arrival at Tainan Station, booked our tickets to Taipei Station for the following day, successfully completing our entire trip as planned. This 3-day pass requires face-to-face interaction at a counter rather than using vending machines or automatic ticket gates, so we were able to manage with broken English and written Chinese characters, which was reassuring. We had to show our passports (one per person) at each step of the process, but it was reassuring to know that we could purchase our tickets without any problems.

This pass is very convenient. This time, I went to Kaohsiung and chose the 2-day unlimited ride pass for the Kaohsiung MRT and trams, along with a sightseeing bus plan to Sun Moon Lake. The bullet train was quite crowded, and my husband and I couldn't reserve seats next to each other, but we were able to change it at the ticket counter on the day of travel. Even with reserved seats, you can change the time anytime if you choose unreserved seats. However, it's very crowded, so reserved seats are difficult to get. Be careful, as you must reserve the bus to Sun Moon Lake by 12:00 PM every day; you cannot reserve it on the day of travel. I didn't have a suitable time either, but as long as I had the QR code, I could board any bus. This time, I thought I could make reservations using only the KKday app, but it turned out I also had to install the Taiwan Pass app and make bullet train reservations on the High-Speed ​​Rail website, which was a bit of a hassle, but once you do it, you get used to it, and it's a great pass, so I would like to use it again.

Highly recommended; buying tickets online seems to be a bit cheaper than buying them at the pier.

Gaomei Wetlands was a wonderful experience. The car ride from Taichung city was comfortable. The driver was very pleasant. He even took photos for us at Gaomei Wetlands. After enjoying the sunset at the wetlands, we got off at Fengjia Night Market and enjoyed the lively atmosphere. It was a very good tour.

Five-star recommendation! We were so lucky to have met Guo En today, who took us to Sun Moon Lake and the farm. There were so many adorable sheep and a horse show! Guo En is incredibly warm and friendly, and his driving skills are top-notch! On the way down the mountain, the fog was thick and visibility was very low, making the mountain roads quite challenging. Guo En remained calm and composed throughout, driving smoothly and safely, giving us a very comfortable and reassuring ride. Along the way, he also patiently explained the local architecture, culture, and stories, and recommended many delicious local dishes. His special recommendation of a goose meat restaurant was absolutely amazing, and we've already eaten it! He was patient, attentive, and hardworking all day, making for a fantastic tour experience. Next time I come to Taiwan, I will definitely choose Guo En again without hesitation! For anyone planning a chartered tour of Sun Moon Lake in Nantou, I highly recommend him! The misty mountain scenery was even more memorable than a sunny day. It was like visiting Sun Moon Lake, a place I learned about in elementary school textbooks. Tonight, we plan to go to the night market for some delicious food and further experience this wonderful place in Taichung.

Although it was much cheaper than major travel agencies, it was a very satisfying tour! ✨ Our tour guide, Vicky, efficiently guided us in both Chinese and English, and the tour proceeded smoothly according to schedule. 😊 She explained things clearly, even for Japanese people who weren't fluent in English, by writing on a whiteboard, so no one got lost and we were able to regroup on time. We had plenty of time in both Shifen and Jiufen, and it was great that we didn't get back to Taipei Station too late. I would definitely like to use this service again if I have the opportunity.
