Osaka city center is quite far from Kyoto, so I happened to see a day tour available. During the day, the scenery along the Amanohashidate Ropeway up and down the mountain was beautiful (the shaved ice on the mountain was delicious 🤣), and I also saw the stunning views of the Ine Funaya. Feeding the seagulls was much more fun than I expected; the seagulls ate so gently, and although the eagles were scary, they were really cool up close. Most importantly, thank you to our guide, Xiao Zhao, who carefully explained each attraction and the route back to the meeting point. It was a fulfilling and happy day 🫶🏻 (The ropeway ticket included the round trip! I was a little confused about this at the time, so this is for anyone considering going).
This family trip (8 people) to Kyoto's Amanohashidate and Ine Funaya was absolutely fantastic! From exploring the popular cafes at Ine Funaya and taking a yacht trip to feed the seagulls, to riding the single-person cable car at Amanohashidate for panoramic views, and finally ending perfectly with the Tango Maritime Railway, the entire day was packed with activities and never a dull moment! A special thank you to our guide, Ms. Lai, who was not only kind and attentive but also very professional in sharing the stories and origins of many attractions, making the trip both enjoyable and fulfilling. The whole family raved about it and highly recommends it! We'll definitely go again next time!
