Tokyo has many aquariums, and this one was great value. My middle school student loved it, and we spent two hours there. We went to the aquarium around 3 pm and then to the observation deck in the evening for beautiful sunset and night views. However, Sun City is quite large, and the elevators to the two areas are different, so you might get a little lost.
The staff were very friendly. Although the tickets were only valid for the day of purchase, they reminded me that if the weather was bad on my way to Kawagoe, the tickets were valid for a month and could be exchanged. Don't be like me, thinking the tickets were expired and buying another one the next day.
It took some time to find the entrance that day; the exit was too obvious, but the entrance was on the opposite basement level. Once inside, the experience was excellent. The staff were very friendly, and there were multiple photo spots. We ended up spending more time there than expected, and the wait in line wasn't too long. A very enjoyable day!
The tour guide was very attentive and provided detailed explanations. The only downside was that the itinerary was a bit rushed. Definitely don't come in the summer, it's incredibly hot!
This was my second purchase. Although we only visited two attractions, it was already worth the price. The Sumida Aquarium and the Tuna Tour included round-trip transportation and sightseeing facilities, plus a local lunch. It was a great deal. Because we missed a part of the itinerary, we didn't have time to participate in the third activity, but it was still excellent value for money.
