Less than 110 km south of Krakow, you will first find the village of Chochołów, and after 15 km, Zakopane, which has earned the nickname of Poland's "winter capital" in the field, and thanks to its typical folklore, its excellent ski slopes, and its healthy mountain air, it is a pleasant escape from the big city.
Experience an unforgettable adventure, full of breathtaking thrills, memories, culture and history.
The first stop on our journey back in time is Chochołów, where the houses were built entirely of wood. Here you can learn about life in the past and what characterizes the architectural style of Zakopane. You will visit a true open-air museum of folk architecture, the Church of St. John, and the Chochołów Uprising Museum.
We continue our journey and arrive in Zakopane. We leave the vehicle and, on foot, begin to admire the charm of this place.
We head to the Museum of Culture in Zakopane, where we will visit the exhibitions on the art, history and culture of Podhale. To reach the museum, we cross Krupówki Street, where we can enjoy the best that Zakopane has to offer.
Krupówki is the main shopping street in Zakopane.
After the visit to the museum, we head towards Mount Gubałówka, where we can reach the top by cable car.
Before arriving at the cable car station, we will visit the Pęksowy Brzysko cemetery, where Zakopane's most famous figures are buried.
From the peak of Gubalowka, we will be able to admire the beautiful landscape of Podhale. For the descent, we take the chairlift to Kościelisko, where we will get back into our vehicle and return to Krupówki Street to relax and eat.
After a break, we'll go to see the Wielka Krokiew, the largest ski jumping hill in Poland, and then, before heading to Krakow, we'll make a stop at the Chapel of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Jaszczurówka.
After a day full of sightseeing and unforgettable experiences, we will leave for Krakow.
