Product Info

Discover Levi from above and step into the ancient world of the Sámi on this inspiring combination of breathtaking fell landscapes and authentic northern culture.

The tour begins with a short transfer from Levi village center (Zero Point) to the Gondola lift station, just a few minutes away. If you prefer, you are also welcome to meet the group directly at the Gondola station. From there, we ascend smoothly by gondola toward the summit of Levi Fell, rising above the treetops as the landscape gradually opens into wide northern views.

At the top, we step into a tundra-like environment shaped by wind, light, and open sky. On clear days, the panoramic views stretch far across Lapland — and all the way toward Sweden in the distance. We enjoy a relaxed scenic walk across the open fell plateau while your guide shares insights into Arctic nature, wildlife, and how vegetation changes with elevation. In summer, the fell landscape is alive with hardy mountain plants, soft mosses, and wide horizons bathed in northern light. The air is fresh, the silence expansive, and the sense of space truly unique.

After taking in the views, we begin our descent toward Samiland, located near the summit area. We walk down along scenic paths before visiting this award-winning exhibition dedicated to the history, culture, and mythology of the Sámi people, the only Indigenous people of the European Union.

Samiland offers a rich and engaging introduction to Sámi life, past and present. The exhibition explores traditional livelihoods such as reindeer herding, fishing, and handicrafts (duodji), as well as Sámi clothing, spirituality, joik singing, and mythology. Through artifacts, photographs, storytelling, and immersive displays, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of a culture that has thrived in the Arctic for thousands of years. The outdoor exhibition area also presents traditional Sámi structures and seasonal living environments.

After exploring Samiland, we return to Levi village either by walking down the scenic stairs or taking the lift, depending on weather and group preference. The tour concludes back at Zero Point in Levi village center.

This tour is a perfect blend of natural beauty and cultural discovery — an inspiring way to experience the vast landscapes of Lapland while learning about the people who have called this land home for generations.
