Product Info

You will arrive at our farm and be welcomed in a calm atmosphere. To start, you will receive an overview of the llama farm and the unique aspects of our animal husbandry in the mountains of Obwalden. In the process, you will learn how the farm is managed and the importance of treating animals with respect and in a welfare-friendly manner in our day-to-day operations.

Afterward, you will get to know our llama herd. You will learn how these animals live, communicate, and function as a group. You will get to interact with the llamas up close. You can touch the llamas, but we always prioritize the animals' well-being.

Next, we will go on an easy hike with the llamas in the area around the farm. The route is kept simple, with no athletic requirements, and is paced according to the group and the animals. The focus is on enjoying a leisurely walk with the llamas and experiencing the landscape.

Back on the farm, you will also meet the other farm animals and learn about how they are kept, their needs, and their role in farm life. There will be plenty of time for questions and for mindfully observing the animals and the surrounding area. The entire activity is designed to be a calm experience, with no hustle or pressure to perform.

To round off the visit, you can enjoy a soft drink in a relaxed atmosphere. During this time, you will have the opportunity to reflect on your experience. You can also view our farm products. Some of these products are made in collaboration with young people as part of their daily activities, and, if you are interested, they can be purchased directly on site.

This activity is suitable for people who want to interact with animals in a mindful way and gain an authentic insight into farm life and working with llamas.
