Certified, bilingual guides highlight the crucial role of dinoflagellates (algae), mangrove ecology, and ecosystem conservation efforts while kayaking. Their deep scientific understanding will transform your enchanted paddling experience into a fun, educational journey. Discover the “fire-in-water,” plankton, mangrove-protected fish nurseries, and the importance of ongoing conservation.

Tours are capped to preserve Fajardo’s delicate bioluminescent bay ecosystem, ensuring the experience remains intimate and respectful. With a maximum of 15 double kayaks per tour, your guides can offer and provide tailored safety, support, slow-paced insight, and flexibility for all, especially in busier and more exciting moments.

  • Know Before You Go: 2) The Bio Bay tour can get crowded at times. It’s not uncommon to meet up with other tour groups waiting to access the canal leading to the lagoon. You may bump into other kayaks along the way.

  • Know Before You Go: 3) The intensity of brightness is unpredictable and can vary. Most important – the glow is always there! Enjoy the show!

  • Know Before You Go: 4) For safety reasons, pregnant women, kids under 6 years old or those who have epilepsy, back problems, heart conditions, dizziness, recent surgery or any other condition that may put their life at risk are not allowed to participate in PURE ADVENTURE tour. Maximum weight per person is 240 pounds. Guests will be weighed on site.
