Step into the vibrant gardens of a riverside flower farm in Mactaquac and discover the art of floral design in a relaxed, hands-on workshop. Surrounded by seasonal blooms and peaceful water views, you’ll enjoy a creative escape guided by friendly instructors who share their passion and expertise.
Select from three unique experiences:
• Bouquet-Making Workshop: Learn the spiral technique to craft a hand-tied bouquet, then wrap your creation to take home.
• Vase Arrangement Workshop: Design a garden-style centerpiece in a handcrafted vase, made by local artisan Wattle & Daub, exploring color, texture, and form.
• Pedestal Vase Arrangement Workshop: Work with a pedestal vase, also crafted by Wattle & Daub, and learn to use floral mechanics to create a fuller, more elevated design. Be guided through the fundamentals of floral design—building structure, creating depth, and thoughtfully combining color, texture, and form for natural movement and flow
Your workshop begins with a warm welcome and a brief introduction to the farm and its flowers. Next, gather your materials—freshly cut blooms, tools, and wrapping or your locally crafted vase—before following step-by-step guidance tailored to your chosen workshop. As you work, you’ll pick up practical tips on flower care and arrangement, with time to wander the gardens and draw inspiration from the landscape.
The experience concludes with your finished bouquet or arrangement, ready to brighten your home and serve as a lasting reminder of your day among the flowers. All materials are provided, and no previous experience is needed.
Simply bring comfortable clothing and an open mind—everything else is taken care of. Leave with new skills, fresh inspiration, and a beautiful floral creation of your own.
