・Badaling Great Wall
Badaling Great Wall is located at the northern entrance of the Jundu Mountain Guangou Ancient Road in Yanqing District, Beijing. It is an important part of the Great Wall of China, a great ancient defensive project, and a pass of the Ming Dynasty Great Wall. Badaling Great Wall is an important outpost of Juyongguan Pass. It was known in ancient times that 'the danger of Juyong lies not in the pass itself, but in Badaling.'
The Badaling section of the Ming Great Wall is known as the 'Yuguan Natural Barrier' and is one of the eight scenic spots of Juyongguan in the Ming Dynasty. Badaling Great Wall is the earliest section of the Ming Great Wall opened to visitors. The Badaling scenic area is centered on the Badaling Great Wall and has built fully functional modern tourist service facilities, including the Badaling Hotel and the China Great Wall Museum, which was inscribed by President Jiang Zemin.
The Badaling scenic area is a national civilized scenic tourist area demonstration site, known worldwide for its magnificent landscape, perfect facilities, and profound cultural and historical connotations. It is a world-famous tourist destination.

Qing emperors would come here every midsummer to escape the heat, hold court, and handle military and political affairs, so it is also called the 'Summer Palace.'
