Product Info

Day 1

  • Arrive in Fairbanks. After arrival, check into the hotel to rest (check-in time for hotels in Alaska is after 16:00).
  • At 22:00, we will head to our carefully selected Aurora Viewing Cabin*. Its prime location increases your chances of spotting the Northern Lights. Our professional aurora guide will introduce you to the knowledge of the Northern Lights, help you adjust camera settings, and provide photography tips to help you capture stunning photos. The cabin offers complimentary hot drinks, coffee, and an aurora monitoring screen, allowing you to wait for the Northern Lights in warmth (1st aurora viewing, cost included). We expect to return to the hotel for rest at 02:00 the next morning.

Day 2

  • Free time in the morning.
  • We plan to depart at 13:00 for the famous North Pole, also known as the Home of Santa Claus. To create an authentic Christmas atmosphere, a 16-meter-tall giant Santa Claus statue, as well as 2-meter-tall polar bear and reindeer statues, have been set up here. Many surrounding public facilities also feature Christmas motifs, making you feel as if you are in a fairy tale world.
  • Afterward, you will follow your guide to the Museum of the North* located on the University of Alaska Fairbanks campus. This is the best place for visitors to explore the mysterious Arctic world and the authentic lives of early local residents. The museum's exterior features white lines and curved shapes, mimicking the snow-covered scenery of the Arctic region. Under the sunlight, it reflects a dazzling glow, making it one of the landmarks of Fairbanks. The museum is divided into different exhibition halls, providing detailed introductions to the geographical changes and historical evolution of the Arctic region. It also displays precious specimens of Arctic animals that we can usually only see in books (such as Blue Babe, a mammoth, and a brown bear nearly 3 meters tall), which are particularly attractive to visitors. You will then be transferred back to the hotel to rest. (If the Museum of the North is closed, you will be arranged to visit the Morris Thompson Cultural and Visitors Center, and the US$15 admission fee for the Museum of the North will be refunded on-site.)
  • Around 22:00, we will head to the outskirts of Fairbanks for the second night of aurora viewing. We expect to return to the hotel for rest at 02:00 the next morning.

Day 3

  • Free time during the day.
  • At 22:00, we will take a vehicle to the cabin for the 3rd aurora viewing.

Day 4

  • Free time.

Day 5

  • Depart from the hotel in the morning and take the Alaska Aurora Winter Train* south to Anchorage, the largest city in Alaska (08:30-20:00). **No guide on board**

Day 6

  • Meet at the hotel in the morning and depart for Matanuska Glacier. We will stop at a large supermarket along the way, where you can purchase and prepare your lunch for the day.
  • Upon arrival at the glacier, you will enjoy a glacier hiking experience (approx. 2 hours) led by a professional guide.

Warm Tips:

1) It is recommended to wear a warm down jacket, fleece, hat, scarf, non-slip snow boots, sunglasses, etc. Please watch your step for safety.

 2) Please be sure to follow the guide's instructions during the hike and sign the waiver required by the park management office.
