-What you can expect-
The ancient city of Luxor, with its towering monuments, sacred temples and mysterious tombs, is a world away from anything you’re likely to have laid eyes on before. On this full-day tour from Hurghada, you’ll explore the UNESCO World Heritage Site, which experts estimate to be home to a staggering third of the world’s ancient antiquities.

You’ll be up at the crack of dawn to get on the road and make the most of your time in Luxor. The good news is that the view from the bus window is pretty impressive, as you drive through the Eastern Desert’s rugged hills and red mountain ranges. When you arrive, it’s straight to the West Bank of the Nile to stare up at two enormous stone statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III. Known as the Colossi of Memnon, these giants guard the gateway to your next stop.

The Valley of the Kings is home to 63 royal tombs of great Egyptian Pharaohs, famously including Tutankhamun, and you’ll venture into three of them. As you descend into the cool tunnels, look out for vivid paintings and hieroglyphs along the walls until you reach the 3,500-year-old burial chambers – talk about a sense of awe!

Cross the Nile to the East Bank for lunch, where you’ll try local Egyptian delicacies before your final stop on this adventure into the ancient world. Karnak Temple is a little misleading as a name, as it’s actually a vast, sprawling religious complex of temples, chapels, statues and obelisks. It was built to worship Amun, the king of the gods and his wife and son, and each ancient dynasty expanded it over a 2,000-year period. Wandering through this open-air museum with your guide is an awe-inspiring end to a day that’ll stay with you long after you’re tucked up back in your Hurghada hotel.

When booking, simply select the language you need and choose whether you’d prefer a private tour for you and your group or if you’d like to tour Luxor as part of a shared tour.
