-What you can expect-
Discover the Monastery of Montserrat, located an hour from central Barcelona. Montserrat is a unique mountain in the world, certainly worth a visit if you are in the area. It is considered to be the cornerstone of Catalan culture, history, nature, and spirituality. Your guide will provide plenty of information about it during the guided visit.

You'll see the atrium, where many events of the country's history are depicted; the Basilica, inside of which sits the Black Madonna, and its outstanding façade; the 15th-century cloister; and Santa Maria square. After the tour, you'll have some free time to browse the souvenir shop, get a cup of coffee, visit the Farmer's Market, or enjoy magnificent views.

You'll then head to a boutique winery at the feet of Montserrat. The half-hour drive from the monastery offers wonderful views of the mountain. Explore the winery, the vineyards and the wine production area with your guide. The wine tasting will take place at the end of the visit. You'll be able to sample three local wines paired with a tasty cold tapas lunch and dessert.

  • Meeting point description: First floor inside the Barcelona Nord Bus Station. Look for the Castlexperience Office in Section B. Ticket office (A, B or C). Please arrive at least 15 minutes before departure.(Carrer d'Alí Bei, 80, Barcelona, Spain)

  • Know in advance:There is a limit of 20 people per guide, although transportation will be shared with other groups. Under exceptional situations, the group may increase up to 22 people

  • Please be aware that due to unforeseen circumstances, the sequence of visits may change. In such cases, the winery will be visited first, followed by Montserrat

  • Temperatures in Montserrat and the winery tend to be more extreme than in Barcelona. Please check the weather forecast the day before and dress accordingly

  • Your guide will ask you about any special dietary requirements and food restrictions at the beginning of the tour

  • Infants aged 3 or less may join the tour free of charge but note that no car seat or meals are provided

  • For logistic reasons, you might visit another winery instead of Oller del Mas

  • Remember to bring:Comfortable clothes and shoes

  • Water, especially in summer
