Option 1: Taisho Pond
Start at one of Kamikochi’s most famous scenic spots. Walk at your own pace toward Tashiro Pond and Kappa Bridge while taking in the stunning landscapes. The reflection of the mountains on the water here is the #1 photo spot in the area!
Option 2: Kamikochi Bus Terminal
Start directly in the central hub near Kappa Bridge and various shops. This is highly recommended for those who want to minimize walking distance or simply relax. Pro tip: The rare cheesecake at the Gosenjaku Hotel is absolutely exquisite!
Important Notes:
Meeting Point: Regardless of where you start, the re-grouping location is the Kamikochi Bus Terminal. The meeting time remains the same for everyone.
Safety First: If the trail between Taisho Pond and Kappa Bridge is closed due to weather or safety conditions, the Taisho Pond drop-off will be unavailable.
