Begin with a pickup from your hotel in Istanbul and head to the airport. Board a flight to Cappadocia and land in this region full of natural wonders.
The first stop of the trip is Devrent Valley, world-famous for its surprising rock formations. Appreciate why it's also known as Imaginary Valley as you walk through its moon-like landscape.
Continue to Göreme Valley, a truly magical open-air museum, declared a World Heritage site by UNESCO. Wander around the area and marvel at its fairy chimney rocks and the houses and churches carved straight into the slabs.
Then, walk through the troglodyte village of Uçhisar. Stop to enjoy the region’s traditional gastronomy for lunch.
After lunch, head to Monks Valley, home of the most striking fairy chimneys in Cappadocia. Visit one of its underground cities (Özkonak or Kaymakli), built by the Christian communities to defend themselves from the Muslim Arabs.
Afterward, head back to the airport to take the flight back to Istanbul. After you land, you'll be driven back to your hotel.
