The 2026 MY PACE Hangang Triathlon Festival is held in Seoul, Korea. While the event leverages various areas along the Hangang River for its activities, the primary location for swimming, running, and cycling courses is typically centered around iconic riverside parks such as Yeouido Hangang Park, providing a vibrant urban backdrop for participants and spectators.
Yeouido Hangang Park, a common venue for the festival, is conveniently accessible via Seoul's public transportation. Visitors can take Seoul Subway Line 5 to Yeouinaru Station or Line 5 and 9 to Yeouido Station, followed by a short walk to the park and event areas. Specific entry points for participants may be provided closer to the event date to guide them to their respective course starting points.
The Hangang River provides a distinctive open-water swimming experience, allowing participants in the Triathlon Festival to engage in the sport amidst the bustling cityscape of Seoul. This offers a memorable opportunity to swim in a major urban river, with views of the city's skyline, making the 300m, 500m, or 1km swimming challenge particularly unique.
During the Hangang Triathlon Festival, visitors to Yeouido Hangang Park can enjoy a variety of recreational activities. The park features extensive walking and cycling paths, green spaces perfect for picnics, and scenic spots to relax by the river. Many visitors also enjoy kite flying, exploring the park's art installations, or simply taking in the panoramic views of the Hangang River.
Yeouido Hangang Park typically offers public bicycle rental services, which can be utilized by spectators or general visitors wishing to explore the park's dedicated cycling paths. For participants in the cycling portion of the Hangang Triathlon Festival, it is generally expected that they will bring and use their own specialized equipment suitable for the race requirements.
The 2026 MY PACE Hangang Triathlon Festival caters to various skill levels by offering distinct swimming course options. Participants can choose between beginner/intermediate and advanced courses. The available swimming distances are 300 meters, 500 meters, and 1 kilometer, allowing individuals to select a challenge appropriate for their experience.
Wetsuits are mandatory for all participants registered in the Advanced course of the MY PACE Hangang Triathlon Festival to ensure safety and comfort in the Hangang River. While participants are encouraged to bring their own wetsuits, rental options are available. If you require a rental, you must specify your size when making your reservation to ensure it is provided on your reserved date.
To ensure the safe and efficient operation of the Hangang Triathlon Festival, participants must strictly adhere to their reserved date and session for all activities, including swimming, running, and cycling. This requirement allows for proper participant headcount management and adherence to safety protocols. Please note that Saturdays are anticipated to have high attendance, which may result in longer waiting times.
