  • Raizan Sennyoji Temple Located on the hillside of Mount Raizan in Itoshima City, Fukuoka Prefecture, Sennyoji Daihioin (commonly known as Raizan Kannon) is a head temple of the Shingon sect Daikakuji-ha with a long history dating back to the Emperor Seimu era (traditionally 178 AD). It houses a wooden standing statue of Thousand-Armed Kannon and a seated statue of Priest Seiga, both designated as Important Cultural Properties. It is also home to a group of ancient maple trees designated as a natural monument by Fukuoka Prefecture. From mid-to-late November, the mountains are covered in autumn leaves, which, combined with the Heart-shaped Pond and the dry landscape garden, create a Zen atmosphere.   • Sakurai Futamigaura Meoto Iwa (Wedded Rocks) Legend has it that this is the entrance to the Dragon Palace, and it is a sacred site for praying for happy marriages and family harmony.
