Product Info

  • In addition to observing the starry sky with the naked eye, we will also conduct astronomical observations using a Newtonian reflecting telescope with a focal length of 800 mm and an aperture of 200 mm. What you can see, such as stars, the moon, or comets, changes depending on the conditions of the day. If the weather is good, you can often see shooting stars. Feel free to join empty-handed, or bring your own camera or telescope!
  • You may also be able to see shooting stars, artificial satellites, and the International Space Station.
  • Depending on the season, what you can see changes daily, including Jupiter, Saturn, the moon, and meteor showers. Under good conditions, you can even confirm the Galilean moons and Saturn's rings. There are also years when comets appear. If you have something specific you want to see, please check the astronomical events in advance before participating. If it seems unlikely that the stars will be visible, we will contact your mobile device to cancel (or postpone, if you wish).
  • Photography is allowed; if you are skilled, you can even capture the Milky Way.
  • If you have a camera with a star mode or one capable of long exposure, you may be able to take night sky photos. If you wish to photograph the stars, please check your manual in advance so that you can set the ISO sensitivity, long exposure, focus, and aperture in the dark.
  • Those who have consumed alcohol cannot participate.
  • Stargazing is intended for adults. Because we observe in dark locations to make the stars easier to see, we must decline participation for those who are afraid of the dark, those who run around, or those who have consumed alcohol, as their safety cannot be guaranteed. If small children are accompanying you, they will need to rest in the car or sit in a chair nearby. Some parents try to lift their children up to look through the telescope, but small children naturally close their eyelids when an object approaches their eyes. This is a natural reaction to protect the eyes, but it makes it impossible to look through the telescope's finder. As a result, it can be very stressful for a child to see that others can see while they cannot. Some children are very good at looking through the finder, so if they can look through the telescope's finder 'without touching it with their hands' and 'by closing one eye,' they are welcome to participate. We provide a step stool for those between 90 and 120 cm tall.

Purchase Notice

Regarding cancellation of the event:

  • Please note that the tour may be canceled due to weather, natural disasters, or the appearance of wild animals on the day. We will not compensate for travel expenses or other expenses if the tour is canceled after arriving at the site.

Please note the following when participating in this course:

  • This tour is for people over 120cm tall. If you are under 120cm tall, we will provide a step stool, so please let us know in advance.

Other important points:

  • Stargazing is conducted in the middle of the night and will be completely dark to allow for easy stargazing, so it is intended for adults only. There are no child rates. If you are bringing small children, they will need to rest in the car or wait nearby in a chair. Some parents may try to lift their children up and show them the stars through the telescope, but small children tend to close their eyes when something gets too close. This is a natural reaction to protect their eyes, but they are unable to look through the telescope viewfinder. This can be very stressful for children when others can see but they cannot. For young children, we recommend simply gazing at the starry sky rather than using a telescope. Children typically have better eyesight than adults and can see far more stars. Some children are very adept at looking through a telescope viewfinder, so as long as they can look through the telescope viewfinder without holding it, they can participate. If they are under 120 cm tall, a step stool will be provided.
