  • At the popular Polar Bear House, polar bears and seals are exhibited side-by-side as part of the Arctic ecosystem, and you can watch them swimming vividly from various angles, including through an underwater tunnel.
  • The elephant house, one of the largest in Japan, features water areas both indoors and outdoors, ensuring the elephants can live comfortably even during the cold Sapporo winters. A baby elephant named Tao was born in August 2023, and her daily growth has been attracting much attention.
  • The new facility, 'Orangutan and Borneo Forest,' opened in May 2024. It realistically recreates the tropical environment of Borneo, where orangutans live, within an indoor space up to 8 meters high. To maintain the plants and humidity, a squall occurs every day at 14:00 while the park is open. Please enjoy the impressive moment of the squall from a sheltered area.
