  • Izu Shimoda: For those who want to enjoy private time at the calm Sotoura Beach, this is a 120-minute Kayaking & Snorkeling course limited to one group (up to 6 people) with a dedicated instructor to provide lectures and safe guidance. Why not relax and enjoy kayaking and snorkeling at the crystal-clear, AA-rated water quality of Sotoura Beach? With an instructor included, even beginners can feel at ease. Within the allotted time, you are free to decide whether to tour to Nabeta Beach (pictured) or enjoy snorkeling offshore. Snorkel gear is also available for free rental, so you can enjoy it with ease. Two-seater kayaks can accommodate 1 adult + 2 children (under 12 years old). Please let us know when booking. *During the swimming season from mid-July to late August, if you are arriving by car, please use the beach parking lot (additional charge from 1,500 JPY). Alternatively, you may use our free store parking lot (about 7 minutes to the beach). Our store's parking lot, hot water showers, and changing rooms are free to use. At SeaIzu, you can experience many other activities and enjoy your day to the fullest. *Activities using personal watercraft will take place after moving to Shimoda Port.

Regarding tour cancellation:

  • The tour may be cancelled due to weather or sea conditions. In the event of cancellation due to bad weather, no cancellation fee will be charged. Refunds will be processed by Activity Japan.

Notes for participation:

  • If you are late, you may not be able to participate.

  • The experience fee, instructor fee, equipment rental fee (kayak, paddle, life jacket, snorkel), insurance fee, and consumption tax are all included, with no additional costs.

Reminders

  • Participant age: 6 to 70 years old

  • Clothing and items to bring: Please bring your own swimsuit, comfortable clothing, beach sandals, towel, drinking water, waterproof smartphone case, wetsuit, etc., if needed. If you are going snorkeling, you will be walking on rocky areas, so please bring marine shoes or Crocs.

  • Rental equipment: Kayak, paddle, life jacket, and snorkel are available for free rental. *Snorkels are only available in sizes for junior high school students and older. Please bring your own if you are in elementary school or younger.

  • Duration: 120 minutes

How to Get There
・By car: 30 minutes from Tsukigase IC on the Izu Jukan Expressway via Numazu IC on the Tomei Expressway Store parking: Free during the trial period 200 parking spaces available in the surrounding area, starting at ¥1,500 per day (July 22nd - August 22nd). Parking is free during the summer. ・By train: By bus: 10 minutes from Izukyu-Shimoda Station, get off at bus stop No. 9 (Shirahama bound), or get off at the "Sotouraguchi" bus stop... 3 minutes walk ・By other means: By taxi: 7 minutes from Izukyu-Shimoda Station Pickup and drop-off available from Shimoda Station, accommodations within Shimoda City, etc. Please let us know in advance if you require this service.

Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellations 4 day(s) (inclusive) before the selected date are allowed. Unused orders can be canceled for free
  • For cancellations made 2 to 3 days prior to selected date, a cancellation fee of 30% will apply
  • For cancellations made 1 to 1 days prior to selected date, a cancellation fee of 50% will apply
  • Cancellation is not allowed between 0–0 days from the selected date. Orders cannot be canceled or modified, and refunds will not be granted.
NOTE
  • Due to time zone differences, the confirmed cancellation date is based on the supplier’s local time. Please allow 2–5 business days to process your cancellation request, after which the cancellation fee will be charged according to the product’s cancellation policy. Once your refund request is confirmed, KKday will initiate the refund to your original payment method within 15 days. The actual refund timing depends on your card-issuing bank’s policy.
