    • Located just a 3-minute walk from Oshiage Station and Tokyo Skytree. Why not try a calligraphy experience while sightseeing in Asakusa or Skytree, or during your shopping trip!? This is a private lesson for one group. You can relax and experience Japanese life in a tatami room with your family and friends. We will start with a brief explanation of calligraphy and the tools used. Next, you will practice basic calligraphy strokes on hanshi paper. After that, you will practice writing your favorite characters while looking at a model. We have prepared several kanji characters popular with international visitors, but please let the instructor know if there is a specific character you would like to write. Finally, everyone will complete one large shikishi (art board) piece, and choose one more item from several options such as a small shikishi, postcard, or keychain. You will create a total of 2 pieces. You can take home not only your finished works but also all the paper you practiced on. Once finished, let's take a photo with your work in front of the Hokusai or cherry blossom-themed decor. There is also a small souvenir for you!
