【This tour is limited to one group per day】
The tour begins at Lanshan Hotel, a hidden gem nestled among the Maoi hills and trees, located near New Chitose Airport.
This secluded hotel serves as our meeting point.
For those who prefer, we can also arrange a pickup at the nearby Roadside Station Maoi no Oka Park.
This roadside station is highly convenient, accessible directly via high-standard roads even if you are renting a car from New Chitose Airport.
The fishing spot is about a 30-minute drive from the station, located at a pond surrounded by fields.
Though they are fields, they are covered in snow, so you might not immediately recognize them as such.
We will drill holes in the ice, set up a tent, and then it is time to try our luck at fishing.
With the right technique, you might catch some smelt in just a few minutes.
It is hard to put into words, but our guides will provide full support.
The HORTO style is to let you get the hang of it and feel the thrill of the catch gradually, rather than catching them right away.
Once you get the knack of it in nature, the sense of accomplishment is even greater.
Let us have lunch inside the tent.
Cup noodles and rice balls bought from the nearest convenience store are the ultimate feast.
We believe it is an important part of tourism to let you experience Hokkaido's way of having fun, without any embellishments.
For an additional fee, you can also enjoy the locally famous Jingisukan (Genghis Khan) on the ice, which is a rare and valuable experience.
Around 13:30, after frying and tasting the smelt you caught, we will head to the Kita-Naganuma Ski Resort, about a 10-minute drive away, for some snow play.
This is a practical facility where locals enjoy skiing and snowboarding, a stark contrast to flashy ski resorts, but this is exactly where Hokkaido residents play in winter—you can enjoy the 'authentic' Hokkaido, nothing added and nothing taken away.
There is a sledding course, so please feel free to slide and play to your heart is content.
We also provide snowshoes, so please enjoy the feeling of the fluffy snow.
If time permits, we may stop by a winery or sake brewery, returning to the roadside station around 16:20 and Lanshan Hotel around 16:30 for a full, rewarding day.
This is a HORTO Sapporo program, carefully crafted to make the most of your precious time in a way that standard activity programs simply cannot offer.

・For this plan, the shuttle vehicle will be used for one group only. However, there may be times during the program when other groups will be picked up or dropped off. Therefore, as a general rule, personal belongings cannot be left in the vehicle.
・Pick-up and drop-off services will not be provided to any locations other than the designated departure and arrival points and locations where the experience program is being held.

  • ・If you are using a shuttle vehicle and do not make it to the meeting time, you may not be able to participate.

  • If you drive directly to the venue, you may be charged a separate parking fee.

  • Please note that our shuttle vehicle and tent are reserved exclusively for one group (tent capacity: 5 people).

  • - Participants are responsible for taking home any smelt they catch.

  • Cancellations 4 day(s) (inclusive) before the selected date are allowed. Unused orders can be canceled for free
  • For cancellations made 3 to 3 days prior to selected date, a cancellation fee of 30% will apply
  • For cancellations made 2 to 2 days prior to selected date, a cancellation fee of 40% will apply
  • For cancellations made 1 to 1 days prior to selected date, a cancellation fee of 50% will apply
  • Cancellation is not allowed between 0–0 days from the selected date. Orders cannot be canceled or modified, and refunds will not be granted.
NOTE
  • Due to time zone differences, the confirmed cancellation date is based on the supplier’s local time. Please allow 2–5 business days to process your cancellation request, after which the cancellation fee will be charged according to the product’s cancellation policy.
