During the peak autumn foliage season from November 1st to November 23rd, Oishi Park will be closed; instead, visit the Kawaguchiko Autumn Foliage Corridor.

At Lake Yamanaka, visitors can take a relaxing Shiratori (swan) boat cruise on the lake, offering unique views of the surrounding scenery and Mount Fuji. Strolling along the lakeside paths is also popular, allowing for interaction with the swans and capturing beautiful photos of the peaceful environment.
Yes, Lake Yamanaka is considered one of the best locations to enjoy panoramic views of Mount Fuji. On clear days, especially in the early morning or late afternoon, the reflection of Mount Fuji on the lake's surface (known as "Sakasa Fuji" or inverted Fuji) is a particularly stunning and sought-after sight.
To comfortably experience Lake Yamanaka's main attractions, such as a Shiratori boat ride and a leisurely stroll along the scenic viewpoints, allocating 1 to 2 hours is generally recommended. This allows sufficient time to soak in the views, interact with the swans, and enjoy the serene atmosphere.
Oshino Hakkai is renowned for its eight crystal-clear spring ponds, fed by snowmelt from Mount Fuji, which are considered sacred. Visitors can explore traditional thatched-roof houses, witness the pristine waters, and enjoy a picturesque backdrop of Mount Fuji, creating a charm that blends nature and history seamlessly.
Kawaguchiko Oishi Park is famous for its vibrant seasonal flower displays that change throughout the year. Depending on the season, visitors can see various blooms such as lavender, kochia (bassia scoparia), cosmos, and vivid autumn foliage, all set against the stunning backdrop of Mount Fuji, making it a paradise for photographers.
At Saiko Genjo Village, visitors can step back in time to experience a traditional Japanese mountain village. The village features beautifully preserved thatched-roof houses, some of which house craft workshops where you can observe artisans at work or even try traditional activities, offering a captivating glimpse into old Japanese life.
For a convenient and stress-free experience visiting multiple sites like Lake Yamanaka and Oshino Hakkai in a single day, joining a guided day tour from Tokyo that includes private car transportation is highly recommended. Such tours handle all logistics, allowing you to relax and fully enjoy the scenery without navigating public transport.
Around Lake Kawaguchi, consider a boat cruise or the Kachi-Kachi Ropeway for breathtaking aerial views of the lake and Mount Fuji. For Lake Saiko, cycling along its shores offers a tranquil experience, while visiting attractions like the Saiko Bat Cave or Saiko Iyashi no Sato NENBA provides diverse scenic and cultural encounters.
