From Jeongeup, local buses or taxis are available to Naejangsan National Park. Alternatively, many travelers opt for organized day tours that include comfortable round-trip transportation, making the journey hassle-free.
The peak season for autumn leaves at Naejangsan Mountain typically falls between late October and early November. This period offers the most vibrant display of fiery red and golden foliage throughout the national park. It is advisable to check local tourism forecasts closer to your travel dates, as the exact timing can vary slightly each year based on weather conditions.
Naejangsan National Park offers several key attractions. Visitors can take the Naejangsan Cable Car for a panoramic bird's-eye view of the stunning fall foliage and surrounding peaks. A leisurely stroll along the scenic paths to Baegyangsa Temple provides opportunities to admire historical architecture nestled amidst vibrant autumn leaves. The park is also famous for its tunnel of maple trees, offering picturesque photo opportunities.
To fully appreciate Naejangsan Mountain's key sights, including a cable car ride and a visit to Baegyangsa Temple, a full day is generally recommended. This allows ample time for exploring the vibrant maple tunnels, enjoying the scenic walks, and soaking in the natural beauty without feeling rushed. Many visitors spend between 5 to 7 hours within the park itself, excluding travel time.
From the Naejangsan Cable Car, you can expect breathtaking aerial views of the entire national park blanketed in spectacular autumn colors. As the cable car ascends, you'll see a vast tapestry of red, orange, and yellow maple trees covering the mountain slopes.
