A Michelin-recognized gem in Kyoto. Located on Hanamikoji Street, this kaiseki restaurant is highly favored by authoritative food critics and celebrities, including Ken Watabe. The restaurant offers a warm, elegant, and tasteful atmosphere. Gion Kawakami has been in business for over a century, housed in a converted 'machiya' (a traditional townhouse where the shop and residence were combined). The historic charm of the Taisho era still lingers, providing a refined and cozy space that allows guests to fully relax. Chef Hiroyuki Kato believes in the importance of every encounter with guests, ingredients, and traditional culture, upholding the philosophy of 'Ichigo Ichie' (the concept that every meeting is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and therefore should be cherished with sincerity). Born and raised in Kyoto, the chef uses his unique vision to hand-select the most seasonal local ingredients, crafting exquisite dishes full of Kyoto's distinct character.

- Children aged 6 and above are allowed to enter the restaurant and must reserve the same meal as adults.
- If you cannot eat raw food or raw fish, please inform us in advance. We cannot make any last-minute changes to the menu on the day. Please understand.
- Please dress appropriately and avoid overly casual clothing (such as slippers, sandals, vests, shorts, suspenders, miniskirts, etc.). Please note that French and Western restaurants have extremely strict dress codes. Male guests must wear a shirt or jacket with a collar on the upper body and long pants (jeans are not allowed) and socks on the lower body.
- Please arrive at the store on time. If you are more than 15 minutes late, the appointment may be cancelled by the store and any fees paid by the guest will not be refunded. If you arrive more than 15 minutes early, the store may refuse the guest to enter the store early to wait.
- If the guest fails to provide accurate reservation information (including but not limited to discrepancies between the number of guests reserved and the actual number of guests, failure to provide the number and ages of minors), or fails to observe Japanese dining etiquette (including but not limited to loud noises, fighting, smoking, excessive drinking, live streaming, or other activities that may affect others' dining), all losses and consequences caused by the guest shall be borne by the guest.

Cancellation Policy
- Cancellations 8 day(s) (inclusive) before the selected date are allowed. Unused orders can be canceled for free
- Cancellation is not allowed between 0–7 days from the selected date. Orders cannot be canceled or modified, and refunds will not be granted.
- Due to time zone differences, the confirmed cancellation date is based on the supplier’s local time. Please allow 2–5 business days to process your cancellation request, after which the cancellation fee will be charged according to the product’s cancellation policy. Once your refund request is confirmed, KKday will initiate the refund to your original payment method within 15 days. The actual refund timing depends on your card-issuing bank’s policy.
