Gyeongbokgung Palace is closed every Tuesday. We recommend visiting on weekdays to avoid the crowds on weekends and public holidays, allowing for a more leisurely experience taking photos and exploring in your hanbok. If possible, arrive shortly after opening in the morning; there are fewer people then, and the lighting is also ideal for photography.
You can take Seoul Subway Line 3 to 'Gyeongbokgung Station' and exit from Exit 5 to reach Gyeongbokgung Palace directly. Alternatively, you can take Line 5 to 'Gwanghwamun Station', exit from Exit 2, and it's about a 10-minute walk.
According to Gyeongbokgung Palace's policy, visitors wearing a traditional Korean hanbok can enter for free and do not need to purchase a ticket. This is a great opportunity to experience traditional culture while saving on admission fees.
The GIGIBEBE Hanbok store is located near Gyeongbokgung Station. After exiting from Exit 4 of the subway, it's about a 5-minute walk. The store's convenient location makes it easy to rent a hanbok and head to Gyeongbokgung Palace quickly.
The Guard Changing Ceremony at Gyeongbokgung Palace is held twice daily, typically at 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM. Each ceremony lasts about 20 minutes and takes place at the Heungnyemun Square. We recommend arriving early to secure a good viewing spot and experience the historical atmosphere.
GIGIBEBE Hanbok store offers a variety of hanbok styles, including traditional and modernized designs, as well as seasonal options. They place a strong emphasis on the cleanliness and maintenance of their hanboks. Additionally, the store provides a wide selection of hair accessories, handbags, and other items to help you create a unique hanbok look and capture personalized photos of your experience.
To avoid crowds at Gyeongbokgung Palace, we recommend visiting during the first one or two hours after opening (typically 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM) or later in the afternoon (around 3:00 PM onwards). Fewer visitors are present during these times, allowing you to more leisurely wear your hanbok, take photos, and admire the palace's beauty.
You can book GIGIBEBE hanbok rental services online through the KKday platform. Online booking is convenient and fast, allowing you to select your preferred rental date and time in advance, as well as confirm the included hanbok styles and accessories. Upon arrival at the store, staff will explain the rental duration and return process to ensure a smooth and worry-free hanbok experience.
