Located in a historic building in Gojo Kawaramachi, our restaurant offers authentic handmade soba and creative Japanese cuisine, showcasing the skills of a chef trained in Gion. Our fragrant and smooth 100% buckwheat noodles are exquisite, right down to the soba water served at the end. For dinner, we offer luxurious courses featuring an abundance of Kyoto ingredients and seasonal produce. Please enjoy them slowly with our carefully selected sake. Our Japanese-style space includes private rooms and a second floor available for private bookings, making it ideal for business dinners, girls' gatherings, group banquets, and meals while sightseeing in Kyoto.
Located in Hiraimachi, north of Gojo Rakuen in Shimogyo Ward, Kyoto City, this former teahouse is about 100 years old and serves soba kaiseki meals made with care by craftsmen who have trained in Gion. The dish features the rich aroma and smooth texture of 100% buckwheat soba, and is also appealing for its ease in the throat. The soba soup at the end of the meal is an exquisite combination with the rich soba broth. It has just the right thickness, and you're sure to be hooked on its deliciousness once you try it. Enjoy a relaxing time with carefully selected sake.
For dinner courses, you can choose from three options: two types of set meals and a soba kaiseki course. This luxurious course, made by a Japanese artisan who has trained in Kyoto and using an abundance of seasonal and Kyoto ingredients, can be customized according to your requests, such as your budget and the contents of the dishes. We can also accommodate allergies and food preferences, so please feel free to contact us. Message plates are also available. Please feel free to use our restaurant for entertaining, girls' parties, banquets, and anniversaries.
We have over 10 types of carefully selected sake. Our lineup includes fine sake carefully selected from all over Japan, including Kyoto, Nara, Niigata, Nagano, and Fukui. Each sake comes with a detailed description, so even those who are not familiar with sake can choose with confidence. We are sure that everyone from sake beginners to picky drinkers will be satisfied. We also offer standard bottled beer and fresh lemon sour. We have barley, potato, and buckwheat shochu, which can also be enjoyed with soba yuwari.
Takahashi is located one minute from Kiyomizu-Gojo Station and nine minutes from Gojo Station. The building is filled with a traditional Japanese atmosphere and has been renovated and expanded since 1949-1951, but is still highly valued as a teahouse, and in 2022 was selected by Kyoto City as one of the "Buildings and Gardens that Color Kyoto." The first floor has table seating and a tatami room, while the second floor has a tatami room that can be rented exclusively for four or more people. There are also private rooms available for four or more people. Please relax and forget about your daily life for a while.

- Cancellation policy: The cancellation policy for this product is divided into KKday's reservation fee cancellation policy and the restaurant's cancellation policy.
Based on the cancellation date, there will be different cancellation charges for KKday's reservation fee (440 JPY per guest).

Japanese restaurants strictly adhere to the reservation time system. If you are late, it will be considered as a voluntary cancellation of the reservation. Latecomers cannot request changes, cancellations, or refunds for this reason.
The Promotional photos are for reference only. If the actual dishes served is different than the reference, please reflect that to the restaurant, who will be responsible for this matter fully.
Dining time is limited. If you're late and therefore shorten the dining time, the dining time cannot be extended.
