Kyushu International Three-Day March Walking Event (Kumamoto Prefecture)
- The Kyushu International Three-Day March is an event affiliated with the IML (International Marching League), which consists of 30 events across 27 countries worldwide. It is one of only two such events held in Japan (the other being the Japan Three-Day March in Higashimatsuyama City, Saitama Prefecture).
- Over the course of three days, you can experience the abundant nature of Yatsushiro, including its mountains and sea. Along the course, local residents are also scheduled to offer complimentary local specialties.
- Event staff patrol the course, so you can walk with peace of mind in case of any emergencies.

This event is an 'international walking festival' where you can enjoy the nature, health, and romance of 'Yatsushiro,' meet walkers from all over the world and Japan, and interact with the local people of Yatsushiro. It is not a competition for rankings or records.
- Course Description -
- Long Course: For those confident in their walking ability, covering a total of 100km over 3 days.
- Middle Course: For intermediate walkers, covering a total of 60km over 3 days.
- Short Course: Safe for beginners, covering a total of 30km over 3 days.

Purchase Notice
- The distance can be changed depending on your physical condition on the day of the race. Please consult with us on the day of the race.
- In the event of unforeseen disasters such as natural disasters, bad weather that makes walking difficult, or the spread of infectious diseases, the event may be canceled. In such cases, please note that we will not be able to send out commemorative gifts, refund participation fees, or certify walking records.
- [Things to bring] Cups, water bottles, towels, masks, rain gear, hats, etc.
- In order to reduce waste and protect the environment, please be sure to bring your own bottles and cups (for serving tea or hot water).
- There are set-up times for tea and drink receptions and checkpoints.
- To ensure a safe walking experience, please follow the instructions of the staff.
- For each course, starting before the leader or after the runner has departed is not permitted. (You may not be able to receive the check stamp or tea.)
- For those in the Yatsushiro area and Ashikita town (residents of Yatsushiro city, Hikawa town, and Ashikita town), the admission fee is 1,000 yen (no commemorative gift). Please apply through the official website.
- If you live in the Yatsushiro area and would like a souvenir, please apply at the general admission fee (2,000 yen).
- If you need to cancel any day during the period due to health reasons or other reasons, please inform the reception.
