Please confirm that your mobile phone model supports eSIM service before purchasing. This product is non-refundable after sending the eSIM QR code.
A QRcode can only be scanned once with a mobile phone. After binding, the device cannot be changed or deleted. Once deleted, it cannot be rescanned and installed and needs to be purchased again.
It is recommended to complete the real-name registration and eSIM installation within 24 hours before departure.
The eSIM can be installed ahead of time. Once real-name registration is complete, its validity period is 30 days. You must enter Thailand and finish using the data package within this 30-day window. If you activate it on the 29th day, you will only have 1 day of usage left. Expired packages automatically become invalid and cannot be refunded or exchanged. Please avoid registering too early to prevent premature expiration. Once real-name registration is complete and you arrive in Thailand, the data package will automatically activate as soon as the eSIM connects to the AIS network.
After successful registration, AIS will send a confirmation SMS. Please keep your AIS eSIM turned on for at least 40 minutes to receive it. (Note: Some devices may not receive this SMS outside of Thailand; you will receive it immediately upon arrival.)
You can choose to complete real-name registration before installing the eSIM, or install the eSIM before registering. Both sequences work perfectly and will not affect usage.
This eSIM is a local prepaid card in Thailand. If you install it outside Thailand, it may show "activation in progress" or "activation failed". Please do not delete the eSIM for this reason (it will not be reissued after deletion).
iOS requires version 12.1 or higher; please note that iPhones sold in mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macau do not support eSIM.
The versions of Samsung mobile phones vary from country to country. Samsung mobile phones purchased in Taiwan do not support eSIM. For other regions, please check with Samsung’s official website first.
If you install this eSIM in Thailand, please pay attention to whether the original phone number is connected to the AIS network. If the original phone number automatically roams the AIS signal, please turn off the original phone number and install the eSIM through WiFi, or use the original phone number to roam the signal. Switch to a telecom operator other than AIS to install this AIS Thailand eSIM normally

For high-speed internet access in Thailand, eSIMs provided by major local telecommunications companies like AIS are excellent options. The AIS Thailand eSIM offers reliable 5G network services with packages like 7 days with 15GB or 10 days with 30GB of high-speed data, followed by unlimited usage at a reduced speed. These plans are designed for travelers needing fast and stable internet across the country.
Yes, the AIS eSIM provides extensive 5G network coverage across Thailand's major tourist destinations. As Thailand's number one telecommunications company, AIS ensures robust connectivity from bustling cities like Bangkok to popular holiday spots such as Chiang Mai, Pattaya, and Phuket. Travelers can expect stable and fast internet access throughout their journey.
For a 7 to 10-day trip to Thailand, an eSIM offering 15GB to 30GB of high-speed data is generally sufficient for most travelers. This amount of data supports activities like navigation, social media browsing, messaging, email, and occasional video streaming. After the high-speed allowance is used, many plans, including the AIS eSIM, offer unlimited data at a slower speed, ensuring continuous connectivity for basic needs.
Yes, international tourists can acquire an AIS eSIM for their trip to Thailand. It can be conveniently ordered online and activated quickly, often within hours of purchase. However, it's important to note that from February 2025 onwards, overseas travelers will be required to complete a real-name registration process to activate their AIS eSIM, aligning with local regulations.
You can conveniently purchase an AIS eSIM online through KKday. The process involves placing an order, receiving a digital voucher, and then installing the eSIM directly onto your device. There's no need for physical collection or redemption. For iOS users, if you update to the latest KKday App version and iOS 17.4 or above, you can enjoy one-click installation directly from the app, making activation swift and hassle-free.
The key differences between an AIS eSIM and a physical SIM card for Thailand travel lie in convenience and flexibility. An eSIM offers digital activation, eliminating the need to physically swap cards or visit a store for collection. It also allows you to store multiple mobile plans on a single device, easily switching between them. A physical SIM requires a dedicated slot and physical handling, which can be less convenient for travelers.
Yes, the Thailand eSIM does support hotspot sharing. This feature allows you to connect other devices, such as laptops or tablets, to your phone's internet connection. It's a convenient way to ensure all your travel companions or devices stay connected using a single eSIM data plan.
Yes, from February 2025, international travelers activating an AIS eSIM in Thailand will be required to complete a real-name registration process. This is a mandatory step for activation, implemented to comply with local telecommunication regulations. Travelers should be prepared to provide necessary identification for this registration to ensure their eSIM can be successfully activated and used.
